"Oh, are we gonna start counting now?" once asked Babs Bunny.
"Yeah," I said.
Then Di Gi Charat's Usada came in and commenced a rap battle.
Only that moon shining brightly above could say who would emerge victorious...

LooiVania- You'll first need some background...
Ah, early 1997, when the Cardigans' Love Fool was a hit on Z100 along with the double-speed cherry cola song, the Dungeon was new, CastleVania III Dracula's Curse was back in full effect, and blue Chun Li physically challenged red Chun Li in a Zenkure GIF.
And through my Junior year at Cardinal Hayes High School, no character, besides Al B Pri, was ever more prominent and memorable than the Senior we called by name, Louie, nickname, Rain. This rarity of an East Indian looking Puerto Rican with big hair was the grand master of comedy and coolness in the back of the Earth Science class with one Eric Roman. The reason for arranging a single Junior Eric with a Senior class is beyond me, but their flaw was my ultimate gain. I remember cracking jokes in the back of the class, his inside scoops on The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and how he pretended to crumble when shown that infamous laser printout of Animaniacs' Minerva Mink. That was THE MAN!
Shortly after buying CastleVania III for $15 from another student and recorded some game footage, I had loaned him the video which showed, amongst part of the poorly recorded episode of Tiny Toon Adventures' "Duck in the Dark", the Skull Knight being taken out by three Holy Waters at once and a Final Battle with Dracula. When I asked him to draw a picture of what he saw on the tape, he gave me this on a blank 8 1/2'' by 11'' page the following day. You could also see Louie was a comic fan; Punisher symbols replace the 'Heads' faces. Meanwhile, R2-D2 and Chewbacca are just 'hanging out'. Star Wars 3 was also re-released back in these days...

Count Gohan- Louie also had a line on the great anime back in the day. Yes, it just rhymed. A fan of Dragonball Z, Louie draw this Count Gohan in my drawing book between April 13 and 20, 1997.

Alucard- DCTP Advisor Andy's wicked drawing of a CastleVania Symphony-style Alucard clutching the skull of a bloody Red Skeleton chained to the wall in the background. It dates back to August 23, 1997! The hidden message? "Yeah, it's true I'm morbid."

Goofy Dracula- A really cool watercolor (???) painting of Dracula giving you THE eye. Did you make this? I lost your e-mail address!

Slogra (SotN Edition)- Dated 12-13-1998, Slogra waves his trident in the air in Anne Felis' Slogra drawing for the DCTP Fan Art Gallery! HOW DOES SHE DO IT? Mad skill.

Diplocephalus- One of Anne's first fully flegded CGs is a PHAT rendition of the monstrous Diplocephalus from Symphony of the Night. We Symphony experts can figure the location by its background location in the background.

Get 'em, Sypha!- For all you Sypha fans out there, Sypha, with the smile on her face, uses the Ball Lightning spell, about to put away a Fire Man, Fire Ghosts, Medusa Heads, and a Slime in this awesome GIF-ed bitmap! How'd they do it? I'd pass the details along once I get their e-mail address...I lost it by accident.

Skeletal Gargoyle- A very fine sketch of CastleVania III's flying Skeletal Gargoyle that really does look game accurate! Did you make this? I lost your e-mail address!

Slogra RULES!- To go along with the lyrics to his spoof, "Die, die, die Damn Belmonts", DCTP Advisor Andy crafted this Macinctosh bitmap for Slogra scooping up Trevor's guts!

YEAH, BABY!- Clint's gory depiction of Slogra skewering Richter Belmont!

When worlds collide: CastleVania III Dracula's Curse THE CAR!- Mike Erickson blesses us with an awesome new lowrider patterned after DCTP's Title Screen! This one is a TRUE CG. Love the digital coloring, perspective tricks and sprite work! Slogra's at the wheel, Gaibon peeks at our model Akane, all done in the tradition of Lowrider Magazine! Scope out Trevor, by Ruff!
