Treasure
Inc.
According to The FunkDOC, a small group
of Konami guys, who would later make Gunstar Heroes, created the CastleVania
series. They split after refusing to produce sequel after sequel of Vampire
Killing action. When will someone write a book on this stuff? (or will
I end up writing it in 2011...)
Konami
Leave it up to Konami to use 1990's 8-bit
technology to make something so good.
Konami
Japan's Official CastleVania Site
Looking sweet in a language I have little understanding
of, but browse through and check the artwork, character sprites, and Timeline
to end ALL timelines! I still refuse to believe Sonia's the first, even
if 1450 is all up in my face before I see Trevor in stage 1 below 1476...
The
CastleVania Dungeon
THE CastleVania site after Demon Castle faded.
I've contributed much during its continuing 3 year history, mostly fan
art and enemy info. The site all CastleVaniacs look up to. Heh. I'm behind
it, too!
The
Outskirts of Castlevania
Lyndon Moore of Nintendo, does it, and very
well. Check out the music section and the Captain N stuff! He writes his
own midi music for the site, and they're quite nice!
Simon's
Quest
Wasn't Simon's Quest just GREAT? Last time I
checked, Rob's CastleVania page vanished, so go here for your CV2 needs.
CastleVania
III Dracula's Curse THE PAGE!!!
You are here. Known as DCTP, THE PAGE!!! features detailed hero and monster
listings, passwords, MIDI music and WAV clips, droves of humorous content,
squads of Fan Art, mostly mine, and a fine assortment of Links to lead
you away from the first, and once said 'best' CastleVania III page. Not
listed on any webring, DCTP remains truly underground for over 3 years.
CastleVania
BLOODLINES
Soon to become the best, last, and only source for information on CastleVania
5! ...maybe I'll help with the Boss guides let's see... Stage one, Boss
2, Armor Battler...
That makes the consecutive CV sites counted to...4.
(your name here), do sites on Super CastleVania IV and CastleVania
6 (US, as opposed to PCE)!
Dracula
X Review
Take a detailed look at the lost masterpiece, Dracula X, for the PC Engine!
Darkhugh's
Den Guide to Dracula X Nocturne in the Moonlight
The first Dracula X Nocturne site and with Monster Dictionary translations!
Alucard's
Shield
Another sweet Symphony of the Night page!
Pijaibro's
CastleVania Page
THE SOURCE for CastleVania Symphony! HUGE player's tips section!
Castlevania
Saga Page
My neighbor at FortuneCity, containing LOADS of info about the historical
Dracula! Found in 1998 in an Excite search Holds its own very well and
has a radical look.
Castlevania
Neats
A nice spot featuring CastleVania Midi's. Found the same day as the Saga
Page.
Super
CastleVania 2!
THE site for THE CastleVania NES ROM hack!
Kris's
CastleVania Page
A site about CastleVania 64. Starring Kiki Fernandez of the Delivery
Service.
CastleVania
3 Desktop Theme for Win95
I made my cursor turn into a dagger! In the Misc., here's a return plug!
John
and Audra's CastleVania Page!
This site RULES! Hot out of the microwave, let it stand 5 minutes before
serving. Just think of DCTP with the wackiness turned up several scores
of decibles!
CastleVania
Kingdom
This site features a good CastleVania for the 64 section.
Annie's
Symphony of the Night page
Annie's GREAT art and her view on things about arguably the best CastleVania
game, Symphony of the Night, await. Learned me the 210% trick!
The
Sprite Page
This Japanese site contains the recently updated Vampire Killer clone!
The
Catacombs of Death
It's a new name and fresh structure for this time tested year-old baby,
BABY.
Structured
Chaos
Check out the good CV stuff of my weekend nemesis of 1997, Sheldon Kooper!
He's worked on many of the (good) animated GIFs seen in DCTP along with
that one Alucard finisher... heh heh heh...
Rainard
Belmont's CastleVania
Once a Xerox of the Dungeon, Rainard now fights for the side of good...or...something.
Nice grayscale look.
RMF
Enterprises On-Line
Has a Fan Fiction based on NU CastleVania!
The
Castlevania Classics Homepage
Spin-off of The Catacombs of Death, this site focuses on the first 4 CastleVanias.
Keep
of Trav the Impaler
Watch out you "would-be Castlevania site authors", you better
be taking notes..."Be warned, you may like this place so much that you'll
never want to leave!" You're kidding me, right? I've read two and a half
page fanfics that have kept me captive longer than this site. Whatever.
That's why this inexcusably torrid site's CastleVania soda has a "For
the U.C. King" PEPSI logo next to it. "uncle----ers" "CLICK THE KEYHOLE
TO WARP INTO HELL BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" SHOOT! I thought this opening page
WAS HELL!!!
CastleVania
II Belmont's Revenge Tribute
This site's got all my support! Gotta love BELMONT'S REVENGE, the true
CastleVania II.
The
Cult Tower
A cool site featuring another nice CastleVania III page!
CastleVania:
Sailor Senshi in the Moonlight
THE CastleVania Symphony and Sailor Moon crossover! Lot's of fun stuff
here! Ying Girl's so cool, I can forgive her for the hidden pikachodes!
CastleVania
Xtacy
A CastleVania site in English and Japanese, based on Dracula X. Check
out the galleries! (That's what I said that before I said "Yikes...and
I thought CastleVania ecchi didn't exist...")
The
Realm of CastleVania
One day, a Google search for Slogra reveals site that is an explicit WOW.
(whatever THAT means) The design's hot and the site is THICK! DEFINITELY
approved! Scope it. NOW. Dare I call this Super CastleVania Dungeon
II: The Next Generation?
The
CastleVania Project
A promising new CastleVania site...which DCTP was supposed to be the CV3
part of... laziness is a curse...
The
Castlevania Webring
COMMENTARY: (scoff!) What lies within? How NOT to do a CastleVania site?
How TO? Like I know. Hope you've read THIS! (And
this is when I realize the difference between DCTP and most every other
CV site there ever was or yet to be... Just look at DCTP. Just look. Now
look at everyone else. In numerous cases, it's just plainly unacceptable.
Believe it or believe it.) Warning: tragedy, mystery, sucky sites, and
the word 'kewl'' all await. If I were to institute a web-rin...web-...webring,
I'd call it the Slogra Trident, and it'd link Slogra-featuring CV sites,
and I DONT mean Slogra-LV-200-Demon-with-an-Enchanted-Spear-Drop-Item-None
sites... Talkin' DCTP, Slogra's Shrine, Castle Bathroom, etc. But don't
mind. It'll always be my time to shine brightest from the most obscure
place. PB'YATCH!
The
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Web Ring
See above, only add "SotN" after CastleVania where applicable.
Dance
of Pales CastleVania Quarters
THIS is the way to make your site pretty with SotN sprites. A clean cut
site with an interesting article on DreamCastleVania, which at this point
is as undead as most of the enemies in the game.
CV
Interactive
On EBC Nightly News, in his own words tonight, Scott Helfrich, of the
CastleVania II Belmont's Revenge Tribute.
"Castlevania Interactive is the new reviews, articles, fan art, and
fan fiction part of Belmont's Revenge. Castlevania Interactive is a division
of Belmont's Revenge dedicated to promoting the CV series and good videogaming
everywhere. Not only will CV Interactive offer our reviews, articles,
fan art, fan fiction, but you too can send your reviews, articles, fan
art, and fan fictions (while we prefer Castlevania related material, we
will be offering general videogame related material as well). We'll post
them to the best of our ability. Have fun and enjoy. 'A site by the fans...for
the fans.' "
Thanks, Scott. And from all of us at EBC Nightly News, I am a rooster..
Good night.
CastleVania III
Dracula's Curse THE PAGE!!! FAN ART GALLERY!!!
Check out some artwork by several CastleVania fans and an entire collection
of doodles by the infamous Eric Roman in DCTP's Fan Art Gallery! Part
of DCTP, the DCTP FA---woah... the Gallery... acts independantly, with
its own changes schedule. Submissions are welcome until the end of DCTP.
Dracula
Battles Barely Perfect!
A long, long time ago, and not that far away, some pre-prepubescent kid
named Eric Roman ran his tape recorder while he was playing Nintendo with
his friends and family. Luckily, these are what happened. Part of DCTP,
DBBP acts autonomously. With the exception of Dman's Game Programming
Domain in 1997 and 1998, there's no other site around like it...no other
site I know. Unless you count any site with video reviews of "game
experts" getting creamed in Wizards and Warriors and Mega Man 2.
Nightfox's
Homepage
LOADS of screensnaps for many CastleVania games and some assorted whatnots
all in one really nice site! MSX fans rejoice!
The
CastleVania Pages
This site looks really, really plain. That's why I like it. The CastleVania
Pages invokes the feeling of the CastleVania WorldWide of a time gone
by. A nice site which excels in its content. Until I read about it there,
I had no idea it was Symphony of the Night which was being made for the
Game.com...heh heh heh... [Don't get me
started on that ambitious little WENCH the Game.com... I'm really glad
it talked alot of junk on the Game Boy. That made its death the ever more
sweeter.]
RM2K
Project Page
Main base for soon-to-be-everyone's-favorite CastleVania RPG!
CastleVania
Dome
This site is just starting up, but I approve.
Ultimate
CastleVania Symphony of the Night Shrine
An attractive and thematic Symphony of the Night shrine with all the info.
Konami
Japan's CastleVania Chronicle site
Ayami Kojima, who is responsible for Symphony of the Night's outstanding
gothic manga look, is lending (his/her?) talent to the character designing
of Shiman Berumondo and Dorakyura in this PlayStation remix of Akumajou
Dorakyura X68k! Here's Konami of Japan's official site. Not much of a
need for Japanese language plug-ins, most of the site's in GIF format.
VERY pretty. GOOD GOD, Simon and Drac! Where do you dudes
shop?!
Ruins
of CastleVania
Slogra the Man will have to press his triple-bladed Naginata against my
spine before I believe this site originally began in 1996. In any event,
it's back and better than ever with nice sprites and EXCLUSIVE artwork
and cosplay (costume-play) pictures you may have NEVER seen before! Bwee!
Enjoy!
CastleVania
Circle of the Moon
The FIRST, BEST, COOLEST, and ONLY CircleVania site there is! Not including
DCTP's, DoPCQ's, and TCVD's infos... Lookin' good with lots of sprites
and artwork! Adromelek probably takes the cake as being CircleVania's
COOLEST boss character!
CastleVania:
Rough SeX in the Moonlight
Move over, Humor Me, Ratzuo's hilarity threatens to---HEY! Heh, just kidding.
Completely off the wall site featuring all your favorite SotN guys in
adult situations. Ingenious sprite edits. WARNING! For mature audiences
and high school assassins ONLY!
Brian's
CastleVania
A cache of game sprites is the shiniest highlight of this fine-planned
CastleVania site.
ADDICTED
GAMER
Formerly known as John and Audra's CastleVania Page, THE site for the
VAMPIRE KILLER, John looks to take his revamped site in a different direction,
but his fun CastleVania reviews still remain.
Dabestotaku.com
V4.0
The CastleVania sections of this French PC Engine fan site include scans
from the bilingual French-Japanese(?!) Rondo of Blood manual! Looks like
message boards are useful after all...
Haunted
Castle
Another new game-specific with the coolest introduction I've EVER read
on a CV site! Serious.
CastleVania:
Nocturnal Pulse
Nice name, but how will this new site live up to it? Watch and pay attention.
CastleVania
Castle
Eheh...he he he...cute. It's also VERY new. I can tell it's a youngin'
doing this, and you will, too, but let's see how this one goes.
Venus
Weed's Garden
Can't get enough of that lovely lily? Express your hopeless fantasies
in Venus Weed's message board! Hang out, too. As of this writing, Venus
Weed isn't in the house, but everyone else is. She'll be back. (And hopefully
so will the beautiful layout.)
The
Super CastleVania IV TreasuryI
MAN. 3 new CastleVania sites sprung up in less than a week. Well, here's
a newie for Super CastleVania IV. The Super CVIV site of Dave's World
is long gone...so let's see how this one goes over. However, this isn't
the one I was told of weeks ago which would have something about Slogra
in it...but stay tuned.
CastleVania
Sprite Archive
If you've seen me on message boards talking about this site, I'll sound
like a broken record. This site needs work. A PHAT LOT of work. Careful
with this one...careful...
Anapan's
CV Files
The CastleVania goodies found here are SO COOL! He's got mostly all of
SotN Alucard and Trevor's sprites!
CastleVania:
The Eternal Struggle
Hmm...looking good here. Infos on the games, including CastleVania III,
too.
Some
faked "Dracula X" screenshots.
The whole thing is in Japanese, so I had to make up a title. These pictures
are all Interesting and fairly easy to pull off. Too bad they used the
same blasted SotN Grant Fake and Sypha Fake sprites.
CastleVania
Holy Bible
Japan does the Dungeon. In Japanese! I hate how everyone's calling it
CastleVania CHRONICLES when it's actually CHRONICLE. That would be like
us calling it "Dracula's Curses."
Slogra's
Shrine Promo Site
Jason Gaines' long-awaited Slogra's Shrine site shall remain long-awaited.
At least he's got this promotional thing set up. You better have Flash
installed...
The
CastleVania Lounge
CastleVania WorldWide getting too hectic? Speed down and chill at the
lounge. The CastleVania Lounge. And hey, they have a Slogra Shrine, too!
CastleVania
Legacy
Also has a forum and is absoultely stockpiled with lavish CastleVania
animated GIFs. I made some!
CastleVania
Circle of the Moon: By Mohammed Belmont
Eheh... ^_^; well, his CastleVania Castle site's 'old' now, so he's opened
his next site. "The best source for" CircleVania.
Dracula
X: Rondo of Blood
From the man that gave you the only CircleVania site necessary... comes
the Rondo... If you've ever wanted to deluge yourself in the greatness
of this maverick PC Engine game, you'll look no further than this site.
Dumetra
Belmont's CastleVania X
I can't beleive I haven't ever linked to this site (as well as surprised
I've been never contacted by the author). This site is actually really
good, and available in Italian and English! CastleVania X was even on
top of that CircleVania news before anyone else!
The
Forbidden Courtyard
Another up-and-coming CastleVania site, looks to feature another collection
of humor, as well as alternate takes on the too-sweet games o' CV. I named
it. ^_^
The
CastleVania Catacombs
Care to see some good Flash work in action, as well as the unapproved
THEFT of my own Humor pieces? Check this site out!
CastleVania Online
Setting my Slogra animations aside, there's been a huge surge in SotN
graphics nabbing over this year of 2001, and you bet your Banshee Boomerangs
that Anapan is part of it! But for what reason? Find out here. And if'n
you find yourself battered by an army of red Slogras in the future, you'll
know which site meister to blame.
CastleVania
Hacks
Yowzaz! Meowaz has a CastleVania hacking style all his own, and makes
some quite tasteful hacks, if I do say so. At least you can actually COMPLETE
a board without having to die before reaching the entrance, if you know
what I mean. Try out all of his very eerie-looking project on his HaxleVania
page.
The
Castle Bathroom
It was on pause for a minute, but now, CV_Otaku is back to raise some
more Humorous Hell in the NEW Castle Bathroom, a CastleVania site where
Humor is the deal. When was the last time YOU went to The Bathroom?
SANCTUARY
CASTLE
This Japanese site has a newsboard (in Japanese, of course), an MP3 of
Bloody Tears Remix midi for that azz, and a decent collection of links
to many other Japanese CastleVania sites! Akumajo go!!!
Akumajo.com:
Le château du démon
Well, now...we've a French one here. I like France. ^_^ Fabulous artwork,
beautiful architechture, those legendary maids... ^_^; I was talking about
France. Ahem! Anyway, this site, backed by SotN's "Silence"
track, has some neat content for you. You can take a look at the author's
quite extensive collection of Japanese CastleVania games and soundtracks.
(Did you just see what he said about Mr.
P's CastleVania Realm?!) You'll also find some sections on DreamCast
games and other game companies. Didn't know they had an SNK of France.
Hm!
Flight
Blue
The Japanese site Flight Blue has a TOTALLY lethal collection of outstanding
Akumajo Dracula fan art. They range in game from Dracula X and X68000,
to Legend of Cornell and more. Get ready to 'Save Image As' until you're
on the way to Comp USA for a new mouse. Better get a Wacom tablet instead.
;) To access the excellent arts, simply hit the 9th link on that there
list, choose either option, and away you go! Be sure to check out the
rest of Flight Blue, as well. You might be surprised at what you may find.
Bless Japanese CastleVania fandom...
The
Dracula X Library
If Darkhugh's Den had a Japanese relative, this site would be it, no question.
While not exactly the most decorated of Dracula X NitM sites, you will
find that it links to...
Mondo
Maniacs
Coolness overload... In another site for my Japanese collection of Links,
you'll find some more Dracula X NitM info, and to cream it over, lots
of cool cutesy Super Deformed art of everyone on the boss list! Check
out Berrigan, Gaibon, the Zombie Trio and all your fave masters! It's
all under Mondo Maniacs' Dracula X section. Mondo art funs, Maniacs style.
http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley/5158/
I know Japanese...I speak it more confidently than Spanish...but this
is a little difficult even for me to figure out... Far as I can tell,
we've here a hub of different sites, probably by the same site meister,
and among them a few on the Japanese CV series. One is listed with the
others on the top of the page, and the other can be found through a button
link near the bottom. The trio of links above the button lead to Famicom,
Dracula, and some sort of Journal links. At the Akumajo Dracula site,
you'll find some stuff about the Chronicle and Super CastleVania Simons
(complete with funny dancing head GIF.
Ieyasu's
castlevania page
Check out Ieyasu's stage for all the Japanese homebrew action you can
handle. GOOD LUCK. If you were lucky enough to survive his challenging
homebrews, check out his other points of interest in the link collections.
opus.
13
Hey, now! This Japanese site contains the first Japanese Humor Me I've
seen! You can't beat that for points. Seems as if we finally know who
plays the part of Mud Men in CastleVania III. Keep your clickers open
for even more amusing pics and screensnap fakes. Another thing that I
like about this one is its coverage of CastleVania III... That's right,
OUR CastleVania III. Guess they wanted to know as much about the differences
in out foreign version as we do. And hey! Take a look at the bitty Commodore
and Amiga versions, as well as CV-DOS! This site's a pretty good hit!
Check it!
http://www2.tkcity.net/~draken/dhp/
As it was written...if DCTP ever came in Japanese, THIS site would be
it!!! This is definitely my favorite of the Japanese sites! You'll notice
from the getgo that this site has the same amount of quality content offerings
as DCTP. The convincing screensnaps of Trevor fighting the Zapf Bat or
Paula Abghoul and Fred Askare are excellent. Niiiiiice graphic presentations
abound here, kinfolk! Do yourself a favor and be sure to explore every
section on this site, as it's loaded with various Dracula surprises. Utterly..and
completely...bada$$, if you'll pardon my cash.
Michele's
Homemade Games
Do you like to play homebrews? How about CastleVania Homebrews? Of course!
They may be few and far between, but I've managed to track down another
site for you CVH fans. Enter Michele (formerly Archimede)'s site to get
CastleVania Quest, and look out for the particularly awesome-looking Dracula's
Shadow, coming soon!
Berrigan's
Chambers
The long-awaited Slogra site by my friend Jason has finally arrived. Unfortunately,
it was dead on arrival. Peep the sweet graphic layout, check out every
piece of Humor Slogra has appeared in, and learn more about WHO IS SLOGRA
in this once-potent project. -_-
CastleMania
Ph33r has n0 f0rm...ph33r has n0 name...but now, FEAR HAS AN ADDRESS.
CastleMania. Now with 100% more Flying Horse Heads. For your CastleVania
Worldwide. From Skahottnet.
All
your Heart are Belong to Us
Not much in the way of CastleVania content for this site aimed at BASE
and Guilty Gear X fans, but you'll notice a very familiar picture once
you take off every CLIK! For great juices.
Yuffie's
Comedy Corner
Like The Bathroo, this nice-looking site has some more written CastleVania
comedies for that azz.
Toastyfrog
2D- CastleVania: Unhistory of the Undead
A sweetly set-up retrospective on the CastleVania series.
CCH
Dungeon
o_o Well, then... it seems to be The CastleVania Dungeon...translated
into Spanish somehow. The thing I don't like about it is how I
was never informed of my Boss descriptions being translated...however,
most of the coding seems to have been maintianed, most importantly the
e-mail addy credit on the Skull Knight portrait... Well, if you ever wanted
to know about Slogra...in SPANISH...
"El Slogra es de hecho una mezcla
rara.
Bobby
Zero's CastleVania Page
Has the basic template offerings of most CastleVania sites, but hey, if
you want the site to work on yourself, you can have it! That's a unique
offering... Has ROMs, too.
CastleVania
1970: Disco of Evil
I've not begun to read this immense ongoing improvisational fanfic project,
but I'm sure you can dig it. Also, be sure to check out the cool arts
(and indeed Slogra's hidden in one)! The title pic is priceless...
CastleVania
Art
This somewhat recent site aspires to be the core of the CastleVania Art
community. I'd like that to happen, actually. There's alot of sweet arts
we're not seeing. I should know. I made some. ^_^;
CastleVania:
Blood Moon Rising
The main, text-packed site for an online CastleVania roleplaying game.
I think some of the RP logs would be interesting to see...
CastleVania
Creations
Another homebrew site with some very interesting design going on. You
may need to download something from Macromedia in order for some of the
pages to display right, though.
CastleVania
Outer Wall
Apparently, this is Broken Alucard's hub for his collection of CastleVania
sites, including CastleVania Hellfire and sites for Carrie Fernandez
fans.
Dracula
X
Well, it's named after the accursed SNES Dracula X, but this site is more
like a stash for some cool stuff. After peeping the nifty flash intro
for a bit, head inside for some fresh new fan art and various other goodies!
Watch out for those Medusae!
DRACULA
X.NET
Oo! What could it possibly be??!! I've no clue, as it's not up yet.
Gokuma's
Dracula X NITM page
If you've ever wanted to know all about the differences between the Saturn
and PlayStation Symphonies, this is the one you need to see. Packed with
loads of info, this site also has lots of informative screensnaps.

NES Links
The
Unofficial "World of Nintendo!!!"
Though it doesn't shout out DCTP, this NES site is PRETTY DARN COOL!
SINCE 97!
The Unofficial Captain N Home Page
This was the SHOW, sandwiched between Super Mario 3 and World.
TSR's
NES Archive
Quite possibly the greatest NES site ever made.
Feel

Praise Buddah, the Lord, and the Machine Messiah! IT'S A VIDEO POWER SITE!
Learn the inside secrets from those who've been there before, and, most
importantly, GET THE EPISODES!

Super
Mario Bros. Headquarters
Mario MEANS Nintendo. Has lots of info on the cartoon series and comic!
Wish I still had mine from 91. Tatanga and his mini Fork of Longinus...
Man, I love Macaroni and Cheese Wheels...
The
NES Files
TSR's NES Archive the Next Generation? You decide. Features actual
box scans for many games and even downloadable full color manuals, including
Dracula's Curse! I haven't seen that instruction book since 1992!!! Also,
enter a drawing to win a FREE NES game cart!
The
Super Nintendo Zone
Forget my Dell Dimension XPS B 1000... This was the true Machine of Power
in 1991. Here's a good SNES site with lots of info and reviews.
The
Subcon Lair
You no doubt have heard of Lisker, have you? The famed Castle Bathroom
personality has a site! Could use some work, however, but worth a look.
The
Warp Zone
There's a TON to be done at The Warp Zone, one of the more interesting
NES sites I've happen to run across as of recent history. The most excellent
guy who runs this primo piece of work was the first to learn about the
amusing Grant glitches of CastleVania III! Make
yourself a cup of Rich Chocolate Ovaltine, sit back, and file through
his sweet assortment of NES niceness. Highly recommended.
The
Nintendo Old Skool
That's right, kiddies, it's back like it never left! Prepare to get your
NES ROCKED with the NintenDOPENESS of The Nintendo Old Skool! I'm
really glad to have been hosted by this crew, after wondering for years
where it ran off to... This is the place for all you advocates of the
excellent Wizard movie. ^_^ "I love--Glade Scented Oils-...it's so
bad."

Video Games!
The
Metroid Database
Metroid is DA BOMB! On Super Metroid, I got 100% of all items and a total
running time of 2 hours and 34 minutes, rescuing Dachola and the Etecoons,
for the best ending possible! It's even funnier when I purposely forget
them! This place has it all, save enemies, but I guess it's okay.
THE Mega Man Home Page
The when it comes to Mega Man, this site is the CastleVania Dungeon's
equivalent! For real.
ShadowLands
Gotta love Snake Man, but I haven't encountered a (working) site on him.
Also in Mega Man 3 was Shadow Man, a Robot Master patterned after a ninja
who can really rip it with his "NNNIIIIIAAAAAAAAAT!!!" Shadow Blade!
Tango's
Mega Man Super Store
Before being the Dungeon's prisoner, I was a Store visitor. Here's where
you can get our fix of the Blue Dweeb with Midi's, pix, and stuff. Hosted
by Tango the mecha cat, I'm lovin' it!
Dman's
Game Programming Domain
Da man's got
his own battles, too! Plus he makes games!
The
Strider Zone
Sticking to walls was cool, so was wielding a supa dupa fast blade at
the Justices of Eurasia Assassination Worm! Oroborous! Strider Hiryu wins!
Thanks for the CV3 enemy pics!
Dark
Sakura's Mostly Evil Page
Meet the anti-Sailor Scout! Sakura from Street Fighter 2+A-z%x(2.3+17)=268~1!!!
The
Contra HQ
Get 'em, Browny! Thank GOODNESS the HQ's once again under Kurt's control.
The
Metal Gear Edge
Really nifty spy espionage action and stuff! Your best and only source.
If not the Video Power Edge, then definitely the METAL GEAR EDGE!
ATLUS
The great game distribution service which brought you the RPG better-than-Final-Fantasy-7-and-8,
THOUSAND ARMS! And kept in Japan, GUNBIRD! How'd my copy get here? Oh
yeah... import. Bring GUNBIRD here, ATLUS!
*Sigh* If only Capcom
were to team up with Konami,
they'd rule the video gaming world!
The
Gameroom Blitz On-Line
I just found this while I was compiling other links,
so I don't know that much about it. Definitely worth a look-see, especially
for all you fighting game fans out there.

Contra INSANELY
DIFFICULT CORP.
Not long ago, and not very far away, some kid named Eric Roman celebrated
the first anniversary of his CastleVania WorldWide-changing site, Dracula's
Curse THE PAGE!!! Later he came into contact with the physical Genesis
game called Contra Hard Corp. he then ran his tape recorder as he creamed
and was creamed by the game. Luckily, these happened. Yet another part
of DCTP, Contra INSANELY DIFFIFULT CORP. acts as its own, featuring guest
recordings from the fans. Like DBBP, there's no other site I know like
it besides Dman's Game Programming Domain of 1997 and 1998. Submissions
welcome until the end of DCTP.

from the site's message board for no justifiable reason! I just wanted

is repating itself and some kid is now getting an idea to make a game-specific
site called Castle Attack III Vampire's Curse THE SITE!!! An old friend
once said "Everything is ruled by the stars". This show, which aired on
WTJX Channel 12 before it signed off for the nights, helped me point out
which sparkly dot was which. See, in Puerto Rico especially, you can see
those weird fireflies called 'Stars' stuck up in that big bluish black
thing called the 'Sky'. They had to change his name to Star Gazer in 1999.
I guess 'Hustler' was too racy for everyone. Babies.

Chupapalooza!
For the US release, it was renamed Cave Troll.

I have people over there in PR playing Symphony, wondering why it says
Cave Troll whenever they hit their second mascot...

Sailor Moon....Excessive use of wild takes makes this show funny. Terrible
explanation. Anyway, the latter series (airs on/aired on) November 30,

Keiji Gotoh. You haven't seen round eyes until you've seen most of his

an anime artist to keep an eye on. I study under Keiji Gotoh, fool! He

NarutoHouse: Megami Kouhosei
The Candidates for Goddess, a show I REALLY want to see features CG mechanics,
clean-cut character designs, an upbeat anthem, and a female cast member
who looks like TwinBee's Pastel. That one girl with the dog ears concerned
me earlier this year...
VANDREAD
I might want to see this one, too. It features 3D mixed with CG like Megami

a girl who looks like Asuka, and a dude who looks alot like Meis Triump
from Thousand Arms. Scope out the RealVideo clip!
Mamoru
Nagano's ToysPress
Check out Mamoru Nagano, one of my top 6. His artwork is a style all its
own, additonally, his mechanical drawings are the most detailed I've ever
encountered! He ROCKS! Works include The Five Star Stories, Virtual On,
Virtua Fighter, Brain Powered, and Schell Bullet. I study under Mamoru
Nagano, fool! He was on the D, I was on the Jagd Mirage!
Broccoli
The characters from the software and anime series De Gi Charat and the

Photoshop J. Usada rocks! Here's the home base for the De Gi Charat crew.

Hina
Love Hina! Naru Narusegawa, who I assume to be this show's star, is a
subtle looker as an anime character. I should know; her image was sprayed
all over several Animation, NewType, and Animage mag covers earlier in
2000...until a Sakura Wars personell took over. What IS this show about,
anyway? On the side, I think I recognize the character design as similar
to To Heart and Steel Angel Kurumi.

Heaven: Aoi Nanase Official Site
Aoi Nanase. Or is is Nanase Aoi? In any event, her artwork is BEAUTIFUL,
and can be identified by similar facial structures in her female characters,
similar structure of character side profiles, along with handling of the
unique (but commonplace to the untrained critic) eye shape. She knows
feminine structures well, and is an ACE when it comes to colors. She used
to draw a monthly column in Newtype magazine...until succeeding Mamoru
Nagano with her amazing Angel/Dust serial! Aoi Nanase has also worked
on Samurai Spirits OVA, Seraphim Call, and a recent PlayStation game,
title of which escapes me at the moment. You go, Aoi Nanase! At the Japanese
site, find the pictures in the two sections beneath the CM option, and
explore the rest of the site for even more. Fire up your printer!
Utatane
Hiroyuki Works Page
Utatane Hiroyuki. I'll lay it down, the main reason why I picked up both
Erotic Excentric drama CDs in Chinatown was because of the watercolor
illustrations on the covers. Only recently have I learned that 'Utatane
Hiroyuki', written in Japanese Hiragana and has popped up on my AX back
issues and elsewhere, is an artist! I originally thought Utatane Hiroyuki
to be a sort of Japanese idiom for something. Hiroyuki's got a way with
watercolor, and is skilled at showing softness of flesh. The digital coloring
of his humble and very nice silver-haired, glasses-wearing, dark lavender
uniform-wearing maid-type character (Sara from the game Innocent Tears)
is also a good example of his skills. She's got red shoes on, too. She
rocks! Hiroyuki has also done art for Samurai Spirits and draws the manga
Lythtis running in Japan's monthly Daioh manga digest. You can identify
a Hiroyuki work by eyelash details, hair rendering, and sometimes chin
shape, as well as the sort of trim-plumpness of his female characters.
He mostly does grown-up type stuff, so new CastleVania fans, I'd blindly
trust that you'd get permission from the higher-ups before going here.
One of the cool things about being a Fine Arts major is people take you
seriously even though you look at all those pretty pictures of girls.
Yet, how else are you going to map out body structures without SEEING
the body?! As a last note, Utatane Hiroyuki seems to have it MADE. He's
married to another professional, mostly hentai, artist, and her artwork
is just as great. I doubt there are many complaints beneath their roof!
Steel Angel Kurumi
The same character designer from To Heart graciously lent their sweet
talents for the animated version of the Steel Angel Kurumi manga! This
is another I've GOTTA see. Get 'em, Kurumi! I don't care what Animerica
said about this show!
Bus
Stop Summer Destiny
Sorry guys, but I just HAD to link this Japanese drama which aired on
the FCI Japanese broadcasts, the storyline of which is simple to understand;
a humble bus driver dreams of finding the girl of his dreams along the
route. Enters the cute young business lady whose car breaks down, and
she manages to chase down his passing bus. Relations and complications
arise between the two, both from different family backgrounds. Throw in
some short commercials in Japanese, and you've got something with an edge
over Days of Our Lives. For one thing, Bus Stop isn't restrained to sound
stages. Sorry, Days of Our Lives. Fuji-te-re-bigin! (By the by, there's
an idiom for you. In Japan, 'terebi' is equivalent to 'TV', Fujisankei
Company sticks in a converted 'begin', and there you go!)
Animerica
Magazine
This was THE OFFICIAL READING MATERIAL for my first and second years at
college. Gotta love Big City Manhattan! ...shikashii (...but)...something

useful domestic anime video reviews, and Galaxy Express 999 serials!

Way to go, K.S.S., Leaf, and Aquaplus, for this great show. While containing
neither explosions nor deaths (as Sachi the fansubber said), To Heart
was still one of those cool laid-back shows to just put in, relax, laugh
a bit, chill out, and feel COASTIN to. Additionally, the authentic interactions
between the characters helped me catch up on the High School semester

The talent agency to which Ryoko Yoneukura belongs. She played the role
of Mariko in the Japanese TV drama "Love Revolution". And she
looked cute as ***K doing it, too, outshining the main character in my
book. ::sigh::.....why I...?

The
Tea Room
(It was [a complete accident, luck] that I found this one.) The soft,
inviting color scheme and the unquestionably adorable artwork of this
easily-navigated Japanese site delivers a pleasant viewing experience.
It's Tea Time, baby. I love Japan.
Carnelian

I had long ago come to a conclusion that is both obvious and controversial...
Hentai is educational. Huh? Yeah, it is. Just look at it. It's
art. Many of the pieces are, fundamentally, professionally executed artworks
of themselves. You need some degree of skill to pull these off,
baby. For more forensic evidence, take a look at these Kaononai
Tsuki and Elysion scenes. Shoot,
I even have Utatane Hiroyuki's Temptation and Countdown
books on hand whenr I needed help on a waist contour. Lounging around
near the top of my list with the names of Hiroyuki and Aoi Nanase, though,
you will also find the name Carnelian. As far as I've been able to learn,
Carnelian is the penname of a female H illustrator! I should've
known all along. Female artists always bring that sort of charm to the
drawing table. This is the main base of a place to get acquainted with
her beautiful stylings. It's in Japanese, but it's pretty straightforward.
Just hit the Gallery image-link.
